Convoso alternative
The Convoso alternative with a price you can see
Convoso is a contact-center dialer: four auto-dialing modes including predictive, caller ID reputation management and voicemail detection, built since 2005 for high-volume floors in insurance, solar, lead generation and telemarketing. If you run one of those floors, it is built for you. For a small team working an investor list it is a different purchase, and Convoso's own pricing page says why: it does not display pricing upfront, it primarily offers annual plans, it does not offer a free trial, and carrier fees are billed separately from the subscription. Its integrations page names no CRM at all, pointing to an open API instead.
No card required. No seat minimum.
The short version
- Convoso does not publish prices. Its own pricing FAQ asks "Why doesn't Convoso display pricing upfront?" and answers that it tailors pricing to seats, features and integrations.
- "Convoso primarily offers annual plans," and scaling seats up or down depends on the contract agreement.
- There is no free trial - Convoso offers live demos instead - and carrier fees for calls and messages are billed separately from the subscription.
- Its dialer is contact-center grade: four auto-dialing modes including predictive, plus caller ID reputation management and voicemail detection.
- Its integrations page and its Real Estate page name no CRM; integration runs through an open REST API.

The other side
When Convoso is the better choice
For a large outbound floor, Convoso does things smrtPhone does not. Predictive dialing among four auto-dialing modes, caller ID reputation management, voicemail detection it calls best in class, workflow automation, omnichannel campaigns across voice, SMS and email, and volume pricing for large teams. Its Capterra profile is 4.5 from 395 reviews. If you run twenty agents or more on lead lists all day, Convoso is built for that shape of work.
- You run a large outbound floor and need predictive dialing.
- Caller ID reputation management is part of your contact-rate strategy.
- You want omnichannel campaigns across voice, SMS and email.
- You have engineers to integrate a CRM through an API.
- An annual contract is how you buy software.
If you run a high-volume contact center
That is what Convoso is built for: predictive dialing across large agent floors, caller ID reputation management to keep numbers answerable, voicemail detection, workflow automation, omnichannel campaigns and a Voice AI agent, with volume pricing for large teams. smrtPhone runs a phone system and a power dialer - call flows, inbound teams, voicemail, warm transfer, and one to four lines with AI voice detection - but it is not a predictive dialer for a hundred-seat floor. If that is the job, Convoso is built for it and this page is not the one to read.
This page is for the other case: a small team working an investor list, wanting to see the price, start a trial without a sales call, and have every call and text written to the CRM it already runs.
Why small investor teams end up somewhere else
-
They could not see the price
Convoso's own pricing page asks why it does not display pricing upfront, and answers that every setup is quoted. The quote form opens by asking how many agents you have. A two-person acquisitions desk wants a number before a sales call. smrtPhone publishes the seat, the dialer, the numbers and the per-minute and per-segment rates, and the 14-day trial starts without talking to anybody.
$29 a seat, published -
The contract was annual and there was no trial
"Convoso primarily offers annual plans," its pricing FAQ says, and it does not offer a free trial - you see it in a demo, then commit. smrtPhone is month to month at a published price, with a yearly discount as an option rather than the default, and 14 days to try it first.
Month to month, 14-day trial -
The CRM had to be built in
Convoso's integrations page names no CRM; it offers an open REST API for custom integrations, and its Real Estate page names none either. For a team whose system of record is Podio, GoHighLevel, Left Main REI, InvestorFuse or DataSift, that is a build project. smrtPhone is native to ten investor CRMs, with every call, recording, disposition and text written to the record.
Ten native CRM integrations
Built into the CRM you already run
Calls, texts, recordings and dispositions land on the record they belong to, with no connector in between.

What switching actually involves
Numbers port. If you are running a large floor on Convoso's predictive dialer, smrtPhone is not the replacement for that; if a smaller team inside the operation works investor leads out of a CRM, that part fits here.
- Port your numbers. They move with you. Nobody has to learn a new number.
- Connect the CRM. Calls, texts, recordings and dispositions start writing to the record.
- Rebuild your call flows. Routing, ring groups, business hours and the DNC applet.
- Run both for a few days. Then move the dialing over once the logging looks right.
How long the port really takes
- Porting takes one to three weeks once the paperwork is in and confirmed. It is faster when your current provider sits on the same underlying carrier we do, and slower if the paperwork comes back rejected over a detail that does not match your carrier record.
- Support does the work. You start it from live chat and the team handles the submission.
- Do not cancel your old provider until the port completes. Your number keeps working throughout.
- Occasionally voice ports a few hours before texting does. It settles by itself.
Questions people ask before switching
How much does Convoso cost?
Convoso does not publish prices. Its pricing FAQ says it tailors pricing to the number of seats, features and integrations, primarily offers annual plans, and bills carrier fees for calls and messages separately from the subscription. A quote starts with a form asking your number of agents. smrtPhone is $24 a seat a month billed yearly, or $29 month to month, with smrtDialer at $50 or $90, and 500 minutes and 1,000 text segments in every seat.
Does Convoso offer a free trial?
No. Its own pricing FAQ says it does not offer a free trial and offers live customised demos instead. smrtPhone has a 14-day trial you start yourself, with no seat minimum.
Is Convoso a predictive dialer?
Yes. Convoso offers four auto-dialing modes, including predictive, alongside manual dialing through CallCatalyst and Click-to-Comply. smrtDialer is a power dialer running one to four lines with AI voice detection - not a predictive dialer for a large floor, and for a small team working investor lists it does not need to be.
Does Convoso integrate with Podio or other investor CRMs?
Not by name. Convoso's integrations page names no CRM and describes an open REST API for custom integrations, and its Real Estate page names none either. smrtPhone is native to Podio, GoHighLevel, Left Main REI, InvestorFuse, DataSift, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot, Tape and Salesforce.
Can a small team buy Convoso?
Its quote form starts at a bucket of 1 to 9 agents, so it will quote a small team, but it primarily sells annual plans and does not offer a free trial. smrtPhone sells one seat at a published $29, month to month, with a 14-day trial.
