Nooks alternative

The Nooks alternative for teams whose CRM is not HubSpot

Nooks is a large, well-built outbound platform for business-to-business sales development: parallel dialing, multi-channel sequencing that it says replaces Outreach and Salesloft outright, buying signals, AI coaching and contact enrichment. One line in its own FAQ decides whether any of it is relevant to you. Asked which CRMs it integrates with, Nooks answers HubSpot and Salesforce, and adds that if you have another CRM you can use the dialer by uploading a list of contacts via CSV. For a team whose record lives in Podio or DataSift, that is a spreadsheet export, not an integration - and the price is a quote rather than a number.

No card required. No seat minimum.

The short version

  • Nooks integrates with two CRMs. Its own FAQ says HubSpot and Salesforce, and that any other CRM means uploading contacts to the dialer as a CSV.
  • A CSV upload is one-way. The call does not write back to the record, which is the whole job smrtPhone exists to do.
  • Nooks publishes no prices. The pricing page asks you to get in touch for a custom quote, and states no starting figure and no seat minimum.
  • It is a platform rather than a phone layer: its sequencing is designed to replace Outreach and Salesloft, so adopting it moves more than the dialing.
  • Nooks parallel dials and smrtDialer does not. smrtDialer runs up to four lines one after another with AI voice detection.

The other side

When Nooks is the better choice

For a sales development floor on HubSpot or Salesforce, Nooks does several things smrtPhone does not do at all. It parallel dials rather than working one line after another. It sequences across call, email, SMS and social in one place, to the point that it is sold as a replacement for Outreach and Salesloft. It carries buying signals and intent scoring to decide who to call, AI roleplay coaching and a live floor with whisper coaching and listen-in, and it handles number rotation, reputation monitoring and carrier registration for you. That is a platform, and this is a phone layer.

  • Your CRM is HubSpot or Salesforce, so the integration is real rather than a CSV.
  • Your reps cold call business prospects at volume and parallel dialing is the point.
  • You want sequencing, signals and coaching in the same product as the dialer.
  • You are replacing Outreach or Salesloft and want one platform instead of two.
  • A quote-based purchase and a demo-first process are normal for how you buy.

If you are a sales development team on HubSpot or Salesforce

Nooks is built for a shape of work that is not ours: SDRs dialing business prospects at volume, sequenced across call, email, SMS and social, coached from a live floor, with buying signals deciding who to call next. It parallel dials, which smrtPhone does not do at all, and its sequencing is designed to take over from Outreach and Salesloft entirely. If your CRM is HubSpot or Salesforce and your team is a sales development floor, that is what it is for.

This page is for the other case: a small team calling homeowners, with the record in an investor CRM, wanting the call and the text written back to it rather than uploaded as a list - and wanting to see a price before booking a demo.

Why CRM-led teams pick smrtPhone instead

  1. The CRM was a CSV upload

Nooks syncs with HubSpot and Salesforce. Its own FAQ says that for any other CRM you upload a list of contacts to the dialer as a CSV - which is a one-way export, with nothing written back when the call ends. An investor team on Podio, DataSift, Left Main REI or InvestorFuse is exporting spreadsheets to make calls and then updating the record by hand.

    Ten native CRM integrations
  2. They could not get a price

The pricing page asks you to get in touch for a custom quote. There is no starting figure, no per-seat rate and no minimum published, so there is nothing to put on a spreadsheet next to anything else until you have taken a demo. smrtPhone publishes the seat, the dialer tiers, the per-minute rate and every add-on.

    Every price and rate published
  3. They wanted a phone layer, not a platform

Nooks replaces the sequencing layer as well as the dialer - that is how it is sold. For a team that already has a CRM it trusts and a process that works, adopting it means moving more than the calling. smrtPhone adds the calling and texting to what you already run and changes nothing else.

What switching actually involves

Numbers port. Be honest about the dialing first: if parallel dialing is why you are on Nooks, smrtPhone does not replace it. If the reason is that your CRM is not HubSpot or Salesforce, that is exactly what this page is about.

  1. Port your numbers. They move with you. Nobody has to learn a new number.
  2. Connect the CRM. Calls, texts, recordings and dispositions start writing to the record.
  3. Rebuild your call flows. Routing, ring groups, business hours and the DNC applet.
  4. Run both for a few days. Then move the dialing over once the logging looks right.

How long the port really takes

  • Porting takes one to three weeks once the paperwork is in and confirmed. It is faster when your current provider sits on the same underlying carrier we do, and slower if the paperwork comes back rejected over a detail that does not match your carrier record.
  • Support does the work. You start it from live chat and the team handles the submission.
  • Do not cancel your old provider until the port completes. Your number keeps working throughout.
  • Occasionally voice ports a few hours before texting does. It settles by itself.

Questions people ask before switching

Does Nooks integrate with my CRM?

With two: HubSpot and Salesforce. Its own pricing FAQ puts it plainly - "Nooks integrates with HubSpot and Salesforce. If you have another CRM, you can use the AI Dialer by uploading a list of contacts via CSV." A CSV upload is one-way, so the call does not write back to the record. smrtPhone is native to Podio, GoHighLevel, Left Main REI, InvestorFuse, DataSift, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot, Tape and Salesforce, and the call and the text land on the record in whichever one you use.

How much does Nooks cost?

Nooks does not publish prices. The pricing page asks you to get in touch for a custom quote, and states no starting figure, no per-seat rate and no seat minimum. smrtPhone publishes everything: $24 a seat a month billed yearly or $29 month to month, smrtDialer at $50 for a single line or $90 for up to four, $0.03 a minute and $0.02 a text segment over the included allowance.

Which dialer is faster?

Nooks, and by design - it parallel dials, placing several calls at once with AI answer detection, alongside multi-line and power dialing. smrtDialer runs one to four lines one after another with AI voice detection. If parallel dialing is the reason you are looking at Nooks, smrtPhone does not replace it and this page will not pretend otherwise.

Does Nooks send text messages?

Yes, as a step inside a multi-channel sequence alongside call, email and social. That is a different thing from a text conversation logged to a CRM record: a smrtPhone seat includes SMS and MMS with 1,000 segments a month, then $0.02 a segment, written to the record next to the calls.

Is smrtPhone a replacement for Nooks?

Only for the calling and texting, and only if your CRM is the reason you are looking. Nooks also does sequencing that replaces Outreach and Salesloft, buying signals, AI coaching and contact enrichment, and smrtPhone sells none of that. If you want one platform running the whole outbound motion on HubSpot or Salesforce, Nooks is a straight answer. If your deals live in an investor CRM and you want the conversation written to them, that is this product.
