Orum alternative

The Orum alternative you can buy for one person

Orum is a parallel dialing platform for business-to-business sales development teams, and a serious one - unlimited dials, AI answer detection, a live salesfloor reps work in together, and AI roleplay coaching on top. Two lines on its pricing page decide whether it is even available to you. Every plan says "request pricing" rather than a number, and there is a nine-seat minimum. Its six integrations are Apollo, Gong, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesforce and Salesloft - the stack an SDR team runs, with nothing from the investor side.

No card required. No seat minimum.

The short version

  • Orum publishes no prices. Every tier on its pricing page says "request pricing", and the terms, the contract length and the per-seat figure are all quoted rather than listed.
  • There is a nine-seat minimum, stated on the pricing page. A team of three cannot buy Orum at any price.
  • It names six integrations: Apollo, Gong, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesforce and Salesloft. No investor CRM appears, and neither does Zapier.
  • Orum parallel dials and smrtDialer does not. smrtDialer runs up to four lines sequentially with AI voice detection; parallel dialing is not something we offer at all.
  • smrtPhone publishes everything and sells one seat: $29 a month, smrtDialer at $50 or $90, $0.03 a minute and $0.02 a segment over the included allowance.

The other side

When Orum is the better choice

If you have nine or more reps whose whole day is cold calls, Orum does things smrtPhone does not do at all. It parallel dials rather than working one line after another, which is a different rate of work entirely. It carries AI roleplay agents, AI scorecards and a coaching portal for making reps better, and a live salesfloor where the team dials together and a manager can listen in, spotlight a call or jump into a screenshare. We offer none of that. For a sales development floor on Salesforce or Outreach, it is built around the job and this product is not.

  • You have nine or more reps, so the minimum is not a barrier.
  • Your reps cold call business prospects all day from a sales engagement platform.
  • You want parallel dialing, which smrtPhone does not offer.
  • Coaching, scorecards and live call monitoring are how you run the team.
  • Your stack is Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, Gong or HubSpot.

If you are a sales development team

Orum is built for a specific shape of work and it is not ours: a floor of SDRs dialing business prospects out of Salesforce or Outreach, where the metric is conversations per hour and the manager is listening live. Parallel dialing is the core of that, and smrtPhone does not do it - smrtDialer runs up to four lines one after another rather than many at once. If your reps are calling businesses from a sales engagement platform, Orum is designed around that and we are not.

This page is for the other case: a small team calling homeowners, with the record in an investor CRM, wanting the call and the text written to it - and wanting to see a price and buy a single seat without booking a demo first.

Why small teams end up here instead

  1. They were under the minimum

Nine seats is the floor, and it is on the pricing page rather than buried in a contract. A three-person acquisitions desk is not a smaller version of Orum's customer - it is outside the sizes the product is sold in. smrtPhone sells one seat at $29, and only the people who actually dial add smrtDialer.

One seat at $29, no minimum
  2. They could not get a price

Every tier says "request pricing". If you are building a budget or putting two products side by side on a spreadsheet, that is an obstacle before you have tried anything, and it comes on top of a nine-seat commitment you cannot size either. smrtPhone publishes the seat, the dialer tiers, the per-minute rate and every add-on.

    Every price and rate published
  3. The CRM was not one of the six

Apollo, Gong, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesforce and Salesloft is a sales development stack, not an investor one. Podio, DataSift, Left Main REI, InvestorFuse, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot, Tape and GoHighLevel are none of them there, and there is no Zapier bridge listed either.

What switching actually involves

Numbers port. The thing to be honest with yourself about first is the dialing: if parallel dialing is why you are on Orum, smrtPhone does not replace it, and a four-line sequential dialer is a different pace of work. If the reason is the minimum or the price, that is what this page is about.

  1. Port your numbers. They move with you. Nobody has to learn a new number.
  2. Connect the CRM. Calls, texts, recordings and dispositions start writing to the record.
  3. Rebuild your call flows. Routing, ring groups, business hours and the DNC applet.
  4. Run both for a few days. Then move the dialing over once the logging looks right.

How long the port really takes

  • Porting takes one to three weeks once the paperwork is in and confirmed. It is faster when your current provider sits on the same underlying carrier we do, and slower if the paperwork comes back rejected over a detail that does not match your carrier record.
  • Support does the work. You start it from live chat and the team handles the submission.
  • Do not cancel your old provider until the port completes. Your number keeps working throughout.
  • Occasionally voice ports a few hours before texting does. It settles by itself.

Questions people ask before switching

How much does Orum cost?

Orum does not publish prices. Every plan on its pricing page reads "request pricing", and the page states a nine-seat minimum, so the smallest commitment is nine seats at a figure you have to ask for. smrtPhone publishes all of it: $24 a seat a month billed yearly or $29 month to month, smrtDialer at $50 for a single line or $90 for up to four, $0.03 a minute and $0.02 a text segment over the included allowance, with no minimum.

Can I buy Orum for a small team?

Not under nine seats. The minimum is stated on the pricing page, so a team of three or five is outside what the product is sold in regardless of budget. smrtPhone sells a single seat at $29 with a 14-day trial you start yourself, and smrtDialer is a per-seat add-on so only the people who dial pay for it.

Does Orum integrate with my CRM?

With six tools: Apollo, Gong, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesforce and Salesloft. That is a business-to-business sales development stack. No investor CRM is on it - not Podio, DataSift, Left Main REI, InvestorFuse, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot, Tape or GoHighLevel - and no Zapier bridge is listed. smrtPhone is native to all ten, with the call and the text written to the record.

Which dialer is faster?

Orum, and by design. It parallel dials, placing several calls at once and connecting the rep to whoever answers, with AI answer detection and unlimited dials. smrtDialer runs one to four lines one after another with AI voice detection. If parallel dialing is the reason you are looking at Orum, smrtPhone does not replace it and this page will not pretend otherwise.

Does Orum send text messages?

Texting is not part of the product - Orum is a dialing and coaching platform, and follow-up messaging happens in whatever sales engagement tool it syncs with. A smrtPhone seat includes SMS and MMS with 1,000 segments a month, then $0.02 a segment, written to your CRM record alongside the calls.
