ProspectBoss alternative
The ProspectBoss alternative that works in your own CRM
ProspectBoss is an outbound connectivity platform: a single-line dialer with its own CRM, wrapped in caller ID rotation, number warm-up, reputation monitoring and spam remediation, with 30 to 50 phone numbers included per user. It is priced from $199 a user a month. Two things decide it against a four-line dialer working an investor pipeline. It dials one contact at a time on purpose - its own power-dialer page argues the case against multi-line. And its integrations page does not name a single integration, stating instead that it will not claim connectors it cannot verify, so if your record lives in Podio or DataSift there is no documented route for the call to reach it.
No card required. No seat minimum.
The short version
- ProspectBoss is $199 a user a month on Connect, $299 on Connect Pro and $349 on Connect Managed, with 30, 40 and 50 outbound numbers a user. A smrtPhone seat with the four-line dialer is $119.
- It dials one contact at a time by design. Its power-dialer page runs a section headed "Power Dialer vs. Predictive or Multi-Line Dialing" and argues that more simultaneous attempts do not create more conversations.
- Its integrations page names no integration at all. It says the page covers the business outcome of integration "without claiming unverified technical connectors or synchronization behavior".
- The numbers are the real inclusion. Thirty to fifty outbound numbers a user, with automated warm-up, rotation, health monitoring and remediation. A smrtPhone seat includes one number, then $2 to $5 each.
- Texting is listed on every plan as SMS and email follow-up, but no allowance and no rate is published for it.

What it actually costs, with the arithmetic shown
One person dialing all day, on monthly billing. Both vendors publish these figures. The interesting part is not the headline - it is the phone numbers, which is where the two products price completely differently.
| Line item | ProspectBoss | smrtPhone |
|---|---|---|
| Seat and dialer | Connect, $199 a user - dialer included | smrtPhone seat $29, plus smrtDialer Multi Line $90 |
| Dial lines | One at a time | Up to four, with AI voice detection |
| Phone numbers | 30 included | 1 included, then $2 to $5 each |
| Number management | Rotation, warm-up, resting and monitoring included | Not offered as a managed product |
| Texting | Listed, no allowance or rate published | Included: 1,000 segments, then $0.02 |
| CRM | Its own, included | Yours, native to ten |
| Monthly total, one person dialing | $199 | $119 |
That $80 gap closes fast if you genuinely use the numbers. ProspectBoss includes thirty outbound numbers a user; ours are $2 to $5 each after the first, so thirty of them is a real line item on our side. The headline figure holds if you dial from a handful of numbers, which most CRM-led teams do; if number rotation is your strategy, price both properly.
Both figures are published list prices. ProspectBoss quotes $199, $299 and $349 a user a month with 30, 40 and 50 numbers, and publishes no annual rate; smrtPhone is $29 a seat monthly, or $24 yearly, with smrtDialer at $90 for up to four lines, or $75 yearly, and numbers at $2 to $5 each after the first.
The other side
When ProspectBoss is the better choice
If your problem is that nobody picks up, ProspectBoss is aimed squarely at that and smrtPhone is not. The number to weigh is the numbers: thirty to fifty outbound DIDs a user, with automatic caller ID rotation, a four-week warm-up, resting, daily health monitoring and remediation workflows, where a smrtPhone seat includes one number at $2 to $5 for each extra and leaves the rotation to you. On the Managed plan they provision, register, warm and replace the numbers for you. That is a whole product we do not sell, and for a team burning through caller IDs it is the thing they are actually buying.
- Your answer rates are the problem, not your dial rate.
- You want thirty or more outbound numbers a caller, rotated and warmed automatically.
- You would rather somebody else provisioned, registered and replaced your numbers.
- You do not run a CRM and would use theirs as the system of record.
- One contact at a time is the pace you want your reps working at.
Why CRM-led teams pick smrtPhone instead
-
There was no integration to point at
ProspectBoss runs an integrations page that names no integration, and says so deliberately - it covers the outcome of integrating "without claiming unverified technical connectors or synchronization behavior". Honest, and also an answer nobody can build on. If your record lives in Podio, DataSift or Left Main REI, there is no documented route for the call to reach it.
Ten named CRM integrations -
One line was not the pace they needed
ProspectBoss dials one contact at a time and argues the case for it against predictive and multi-line dialing. That is a real position, and it is the opposite of what an acquisitions desk working a bought list wants. smrtDialer runs one to four lines with AI voice detection, so you pick the pace rather than the vendor picking it.
One to four lines, from $50 a seat -
The entry price was the whole team
Connect is $199 a user a month before anything else, with no annual rate published. A three-person desk is $597 a month against $357 for three smrtPhone seats with the four-line dialer. Worth checking the numbers first: if you really run thirty DIDs a caller, their bundle changes that sum.
One seat at $29, dialer from $50
Built into the CRM you already run
Calls, texts, recordings and dispositions land on the record they belong to, with no connector in between.

What I like most about SmrtPhone is how responsive and helpful their support team is. In fact, there have been instances during my onboarding that they have proactively reached out. They make the learning curve very easy to overcome.

What switching actually involves
Numbers port. The thing to plan is how many: ProspectBoss hands each user thirty to fifty numbers and rotates them for you, and here numbers are bought one at a time at $2 to $5, so work out how many you actually dial from before you compare the bills.
- Port your numbers. They move with you. Nobody has to learn a new number.
- Connect the CRM. Calls, texts, recordings and dispositions start writing to the record.
- Rebuild your call flows. Routing, ring groups, business hours and the DNC applet.
- Run both for a few days. Then move the dialing over once the logging looks right.
How long the port really takes
- Porting takes one to three weeks once the paperwork is in and confirmed. It is faster when your current provider sits on the same underlying carrier we do, and slower if the paperwork comes back rejected over a detail that does not match your carrier record.
- Support does the work. You start it from live chat and the team handles the submission.
- Do not cancel your old provider until the port completes. Your number keeps working throughout.
- Occasionally voice ports a few hours before texting does. It settles by itself.
Questions people ask before switching
How much does ProspectBoss cost?
Three plans, monthly: Connect at $199 a user with 30 outbound numbers, Connect Pro at $299 with 40, and Connect Managed at $349 with 50. No annual rate is published. All three include the single-line dialer, the lead-management CRM, call recording, AI transcription and summaries, voicemail drop and SMS and email follow-up. A smrtPhone seat is $29 a month with smrtDialer at $50 for one line or $90 for up to four, so one person dialing four lines is $119.
Does ProspectBoss dial multiple lines?
No. It dials one contact at a time, and that is a stated position rather than a gap - its power-dialer page carries a section headed "Power Dialer vs. Predictive or Multi-Line Dialing" arguing that more simultaneous attempts do not automatically create more conversations. smrtDialer runs one to four lines with AI voice detection, which suits a bought list; if you agree with their argument, their product is built around it.
Does ProspectBoss integrate with my CRM?
It does not name any integration. Its integrations page is about integration as a concept - defining a system of record, deciding which fields matter, moving data "using the organization's confirmed integration or process design" - and it states the page avoids "claiming unverified technical connectors or synchronization behavior". No CRM, no Zapier and no API is named there or on its CRM page. smrtPhone is native to ten investor CRMs, with the call and the text written to the record.
Does ProspectBoss send text messages?
SMS and email follow-up is listed on all three plans, but no allowance and no per-segment rate is published for it, so what you get is not something you can work out before you buy. A smrtPhone seat includes SMS and MMS with 1,000 segments a month, then $0.02 a segment, written to your CRM record alongside the calls.
Is smrtPhone cheaper than ProspectBoss?
On the headline, yes: $119 for one person dialing four lines against $199 for Connect on one line. The qualifier is the phone numbers. ProspectBoss includes thirty a user and manages the rotation and warm-up; ours are $2 to $5 each after the first, so running thirty of them is a real line item here. If you dial from a handful of numbers the headline holds; if number rotation is your strategy, price both properly.
