Ringover alternative

The Ringover alternative that will price a two-person team

Ringover is a French business calling platform sold in three tiers, with a big integration directory and unlimited calling to 110 destinations. Try to price it for a small team and the page stops working for you. Set the company size selector to one or two users and every plan card disappears, replaced by a request-a-demo form. The only tier that carries a dialer or any integration at all, Business, states a three-user minimum. And the features an outbound team actually dials with - voicemail drop, call scripts, call campaigns, local presence - are all on Advanced, which has no published price at all.

No card required. No seat minimum.

The short version

  • Set the pricing page to "1-2 users" and the plans vanish. No figure is shown for a one or two person team; you get a demo request form instead.
  • Business is $57 a user a month, or $47 on a twelve-month commitment, with a three-user minimum. Talk is $24 a month but has no integrations, no API, no webhooks and no dialer of any kind.
  • Voicemail drop, call scripts, call campaigns and local presence dialing are all Advanced-only, and Advanced is quote-only. The Business power dialer is capped at 300 contacts a campaign.
  • Its directory names 88 integrations. Twenty-eight are recruiting and staffing tools and the CRMs are mainstream or European - not one investor CRM is on the list.
  • Texting is metered with no bundled allowance: US to US is $0.03 an SMS on their published rates. A smrtPhone seat includes 1,000 segments, then $0.02.

The other side

When Ringover is the better choice

Two things point at Ringover. One is reach: unlimited calls to 110 destinations on the Business plan, where a smrtPhone seat includes 500 minutes to the US and Canada and meters the rest at $0.03. The other is parallel dialing, which they sell as an add-on and smrtPhone does not offer at all. If your team calls across borders and your stack is recruiting software or mainstream European CRM, Ringover is built for that shape of work and smrtPhone is not.

  • You have three or more callers, which is the smallest team they will sell to.
  • Your team calls internationally rather than US and Canada numbers.
  • You run a recruiting or staffing desk on Bullhorn, Vincere, Loxo or JobAdder.
  • You want parallel dialing, which they sell as an add-on and we do not offer.
  • You do not run a CRM outside the tools already in their directory.

If you are a recruiting desk

Twenty-eight of the 88 integrations in Ringover's directory are recruiting and staffing tools - Bullhorn three times over, Avionté, Vincere, Loxo, JobAdder, Crelate, Teamtailor, TempWorks, Recruitee, Zoho Recruit. That is not a side category, it is a large part of what the product is for, and it is paired with unlimited calling to 110 destinations for teams whose candidates are in several countries. smrtPhone integrates with none of those and calls the US and Canada.

This page is for the other case: a small team calling US numbers whose record lives in an investor CRM, wanting the call and the text written to it, and wanting to see a price before booking a call with anybody.

Why small teams pick smrtPhone instead

  1. They could not get a price at their size

Ringover's pricing page has a company-size selector. Choose one or two users and the plans disappear and a demo form takes their place; the tier that carries the dialer states a three-user minimum anyway. A two-person acquisitions desk is not a small version of their customer, it is outside the sizes they price. smrtPhone sells one seat at a published price.

One seat at $29, no minimum
  2. The dialing features were on the quote-only plan

Business gets a power dialer capped at 300 contacts a campaign. Voicemail drop, call scripts, call campaigns and local presence dialing are all Advanced, and Advanced says "customize your solution" rather than a number. smrtDialer runs one to four lines with voicemail drops and unlimited campaigns for $50 or $90 a seat.

    Dialer from $50 a seat
  3. The CRM was not among the 88

The directory is deep in recruiting software and mainstream or European CRM. Podio, DataSift, Left Main REI, InvestorFuse, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot, Tape and GoHighLevel are none of them there, and for an investor team those are the ones that decide it.

What I like most about SmrtPhone is how responsive and helpful their support team is. In fact, there have been instances during my onboarding that they have proactively reached out. They make the learning curve very easy to overcome.

What switching actually involves

Numbers port. If you are on Business, check what you are actually using before you compare: the unlimited international calling is the thing worth most on that plan, and if your calling is US and Canada it is not doing much for you.

  1. Port your numbers. They move with you. Nobody has to learn a new number.
  2. Connect the CRM. Calls, texts, recordings and dispositions start writing to the record.
  3. Rebuild your call flows. Routing, ring groups, business hours and the DNC applet.
  4. Run both for a few days. Then move the dialing over once the logging looks right.

How long the port really takes

  • Porting takes one to three weeks once the paperwork is in and confirmed. It is faster when your current provider sits on the same underlying carrier we do, and slower if the paperwork comes back rejected over a detail that does not match your carrier record.
  • Support does the work. You start it from live chat and the team handles the submission.
  • Do not cancel your old provider until the port completes. Your number keeps working throughout.
  • Occasionally voice ports a few hours before texting does. It settles by itself.

Questions people ask before switching

How much does Ringover cost?

Talk is $24 a user a month and Business is $57, or $15 and $47 on a twelve-month commitment. Advanced is quote-only. Business, the only tier with a dialer or integrations, has a three-user minimum. Add-ons are priced separately: conversational AI at $39 a licence, omnichannel messaging at $29, Cadence at $59 a user, and their AI voice agent from $0.19 a minute. smrtPhone is $29 a seat a month with smrtDialer at $50 for one line or $90 for up to four.

Can I buy Ringover as a one or two person team?

Not at a published price. Their pricing page has a company-size selector, and choosing "1-2 users" hides every plan card and shows a request-a-demo form instead. Business carries a three-user minimum in any case. smrtPhone sells a single seat at $29 with no minimum and a 14-day trial you start yourself.

Does Ringover integrate with Podio or GoHighLevel?

Neither is in its directory. Ringover names 88 integrations - 31 CRM, 28 recruiting and staffing, 15 productivity, 10 storage - and the CRMs are mainstream or European: Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, Sellsy, Axonaut. No investor CRM appears: no Podio, DataSift, Left Main REI, InvestorFuse, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot, Tape or GoHighLevel. Note also that Talk, the entry plan, has no integrations at all, and no API or webhooks either. smrtPhone is native to all ten.

Does Ringover send text messages?

Yes, on Business and Advanced, and on Talk for US and Canada numbers only - but it is metered with no bundled allowance. Their published rate for a US to US message is $0.03. A smrtPhone seat includes SMS and MMS with 1,000 segments a month, then $0.02 a segment, written to your CRM record alongside the calls.

Which has the better dialer?

It depends what you are dialing. Ringover's power dialer comes with Business and handles up to 300 contacts a campaign, and it sells a parallel dialer as an add-on, which smrtPhone does not offer at all. But voicemail drop, call scripts, call campaigns and local presence dialing are all on Advanced, which has no published price. smrtDialer runs one to four lines with AI voice detection, voicemail drops logged to the CRM and unlimited leads and campaigns, at $50 or $90 a seat.
