Vulcan7 alternative

The Vulcan7 alternative that texts and works in your CRM

Vulcan7 sells seller leads to listing agents, with a power dialer, a CRM and weekly training wrapped around them. It is a good fit for an agent whose day is expired listings and for-sale-by-owner calls. Three things make it a poor fit for a team working a CRM pipeline: it publishes no prices at all, so you cannot compare it without a call; it sells no texting; and its user seats come bundled with the lead package, so adding a second person means buying a bigger data plan. smrtPhone publishes every price, includes SMS in every seat, and sells seats one at a time.

No card required. No seat minimum.

The short version

  • Vulcan7 publishes no prices. Its packages page names three plans - Essential, Executive and Ultimate - and shows a figure for none of them; the FAQ says pricing varies and to contact the team.
  • Vulcan7 sells no texting. Its feature comparison covers the dialer, CRM, email, calendar and training in detail and lists nothing for SMS.
  • User seats are tied to the lead package: one seat on Essential, two on Executive, three on Ultimate. A third person means buying the largest data bundle.
  • Its only CRM integrations are Follow Up Boss and BoomTown, and both start on the middle tier. smrtPhone is native to ten CRMs from the entry seat.
  • Every Vulcan7 plan includes unlimited dialing minutes and call recording. smrtPhone includes 500 minutes a seat and meters the rest at $0.03.

The other side

When Vulcan7 is the better choice

Vulcan7 is built around the listing agent who prospects every morning, and it bundles the three things that job needs: the leads, the dialer and the coaching. Unlimited dialing minutes come on every plan, where a smrtPhone seat includes 500 and meters the rest. Whitelisted numbers are included from the entry tier and spam monitoring from the middle one. And the weekly live training and community are a real part of what people buy it for, which smrtPhone does not offer at all.

  • Your day is expired listings and for-sale-by-owner calls.
  • You want the leads, the dialer and the training on one bill.
  • You are on the phone all day and unlimited minutes beat metered ones.
  • Weekly coaching and a prospecting community matter to how you work.
  • You do not run a CRM outside the one your dialer provides.

If the seller leads are what you are buying

Vulcan7 is a data business before it is a phone business: expired listings, for-sale-by-owner, for-rent-by-owner, pre-foreclosures and neighbourhood search, with the dialer built around them. smrtPhone sells none of those lists. What we do have on the data side is smrtLeads, in beta, which skip traces and cleans the contact data you already hold rather than supplying the leads themselves. If the lists are the reason you are looking, the products to compare are Vulcan7 itself, REDX and Mojo Dialer - all three sell the listing-agent data set with a dialer attached.

We are the alternative for the conversation half: the calling, the texting, and getting both onto the record in the CRM your team already runs. Buying leads from one company and running the conversations in another is a normal way to work.

Why CRM-led teams pick the phone layer instead

  1. They could not get a price

Vulcan7 names three packages and prices none of them. If you are building a budget or putting two products side by side, a quote-only vendor is an obstacle before you have tried anything. smrtPhone publishes the seat, the dialer tiers and every add-on.

    Every price published
  2. They needed to text

Prospecting is follow-up, and most of the follow-up that works is a text. Vulcan7 covers the dialer, CRM, email and training in its feature list and sells no SMS at all. Every smrtPhone seat includes SMS and MMS with 1,000 segments.

    Texting in every seat
  3. The seat count was decided by the data plan

Vulcan7 gives one seat on Essential, two on Executive and three on Ultimate, so a third caller means buying the biggest lead bundle whether or not you want the extra data. smrtPhone sells seats one at a time and only the people who dial need smrtDialer.

What switching actually involves

Numbers port. If you buy your leads from Vulcan7 you can keep doing that and dial them here: export the list and load it into smrtDialer, and the calls and texts land on your own CRM record.

  1. Port your numbers. They move with you. Nobody has to learn a new number.
  2. Connect the CRM. Calls, texts, recordings and dispositions start writing to the record.
  3. Rebuild your call flows. Routing, ring groups, business hours and the DNC applet.
  4. Run both for a few days. Then move the dialing over once the logging looks right.

How long the port really takes

  • Porting takes one to three weeks once the paperwork is in and confirmed. It is faster when your current provider sits on the same underlying carrier we do, and slower if the paperwork comes back rejected over a detail that does not match your carrier record.
  • Support does the work. You start it from live chat and the team handles the submission.
  • Do not cancel your old provider until the port completes. Your number keeps working throughout.
  • Occasionally voice ports a few hours before texting does. It settles by itself.

Questions people ask before switching

How much does Vulcan7 cost?

Vulcan7 does not publish prices. Its packages page names three plans - Essential, Executive and Ultimate - and shows no figure for any of them, and its FAQ says pricing varies by plan and lead type and asks you to contact the team. It offers monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual billing with up to 20% off for longer commitments and no long-term contract. smrtPhone publishes everything: seats from $24 a month billed yearly, smrtDialer from $50 a seat, and each add-on listed separately.

Does Vulcan7 send text messages?

No texting appears anywhere in its feature comparison, which covers the dialer, CRM, emailing, calendar, training and support in detail. A smrtPhone seat includes SMS and MMS with 1,000 segments a month, then $0.02 a segment, and texts write to the CRM record alongside the calls.

How many users does a Vulcan7 plan include?

One on Essential, two on Executive and three on Ultimate, because seats are bundled with the lead package rather than sold separately. Adding a third caller means moving up to the largest data plan. smrtPhone sells seats one at a time at a published price, and smrtDialer is a per-seat add-on so only the people who actually dial pay for it.

Does Vulcan7 integrate with my CRM?

With two, and not on the entry plan. Follow Up Boss and BoomTown integrations start on the Executive tier; otherwise Vulcan7 is its own CRM. smrtPhone is native to Podio, GoHighLevel, Left Main REI, InvestorFuse, DataSift, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot, Tape and Salesforce from the entry seat, with calls and texts written to the record.

Is smrtPhone a replacement for Vulcan7?

Only for half of it. Vulcan7 sells the seller leads as well as the dialer, and smrtPhone sells no seller lead lists - no expireds, no for-sale-by-owner, no pre-foreclosures. smrtLeads, in beta, skip traces and cleans the data you already have; it does not supply the leads. If the leads are why you subscribe, keep buying them and dial them here. If what you want is the calling and texting to happen inside the CRM your team already runs, that is the part smrtPhone replaces.
