WhatConverts alternative
The WhatConverts alternative that makes the calls too
WhatConverts is lead tracking for marketers and agencies: every call, form, chat and transaction attributed to the campaign and keyword behind it, reported into Google Ads, Bing, Facebook and Google Analytics. It tracks the call; it does not make one. There is no dialer, no outbound calling and no softphone on any plan - its tracking numbers forward to whatever phone you already use. smrtPhone does campaign-level call tracking with dynamic number insertion in every seat, and then does the part that comes next: the calling, the texting, a four-line dialer and every conversation written to the CRM. WhatConverts goes deeper on attribution itself.
No card required. No seat minimum.

The other side
When WhatConverts is the better choice
WhatConverts is the deeper measurement product. Calls, forms, chats and transactions attributed to campaigns and keywords, Google Ads, Bing, Facebook and Analytics integrations, multi-click attribution and customer journeys on Elite, HIPAA on Pro, and white labelling for agencies at $50 a month. Its directory of about eighty integrations includes Zapier, which smrtPhone does not offer. Its Capterra profile is 4.9 from 50 reviews. If your job is proving which marketing works rather than calling the leads it produces, WhatConverts is built for that.
- You are an agency proving marketing ROI across client accounts.
- Forms, chats and ecommerce transactions matter as much to you as calls.
- You need keyword-level and multi-click attribution.
- You need Zapier, which smrtPhone does not offer.
- Your team already has a phone system and only needs tracking on top of it.
If attribution is the whole job
WhatConverts goes deeper on attribution than we do. It tracks calls, forms, chats and ecommerce transactions to the campaigns and keywords behind them, reports into Google Ads, Bing, Facebook and Google Analytics, and adds multi-click attribution, customer journeys and white labelling for agencies. smrtPhone tracks calls at the campaign level - a tracking number per campaign, swapped onto your site by page or UTM tag - in every seat. For an agency proving marketing ROI across client accounts, WhatConverts is built for that.
We are the alternative for teams that need to know which campaign rang the phone and then work that lead - call it, text it, dial the list, and write all of it to the CRM - without a separate phone system behind the tracking.
Why teams that work their leads move off it
-
They needed to call the leads they were tracking
WhatConverts proves which campaign produced a call, then forwards it to whatever phone you already use. There is no outbound calling, no softphone and no dialer on any plan, so working the leads it tracks means paying for a second system. smrtPhone tracks the call with DNI in every seat and makes the follow-up from the same place.
Tracking and calling in one seat -
Working a list needed a dialer
An acquisitions desk does not wait for the phone to ring. smrtDialer runs one to four lines with AI voice detection, voicemail drops logged to the CRM and unlimited campaigns, as an add-on to the same $29 seat at $50 for a single line or $90 for up to four.
smrtDialer, up to 4 lines -
The CRM was not in the directory
WhatConverts integrates with about eighty tools, mostly forms, chat and ad platforms, with HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Pipedrive and a few more on the CRM side. Left Main REI is reachable through Salesforce; Podio, GoHighLevel, InvestorFuse, DataSift, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot and Tape are not there.
Ten native CRM integrations
Built into the CRM you already run
Calls, texts, recordings and dispositions land on the record they belong to, with no connector in between.

What switching actually involves
Numbers port, including tracking numbers - move them and assign them to DNI campaigns so they keep crediting their campaigns. If WhatConverts' form and multi-click attribution is what your marketing reporting runs on, keep it for that and run the calling and texting here.
- Port your numbers. They move with you. Nobody has to learn a new number.
- Connect the CRM. Calls, texts, recordings and dispositions start writing to the record.
- Rebuild your call flows. Routing, ring groups, business hours and the DNC applet.
- Run both for a few days. Then move the dialing over once the logging looks right.
How long the port really takes
- Porting takes one to three weeks once the paperwork is in and confirmed. It is faster when your current provider sits on the same underlying carrier we do, and slower if the paperwork comes back rejected over a detail that does not match your carrier record.
- Support does the work. You start it from live chat and the team handles the submission.
- Do not cancel your old provider until the port completes. Your number keeps working throughout.
- Occasionally voice ports a few hours before texting does. It settles by itself.
Questions people ask before switching
Can you make calls with WhatConverts?
Not outbound. WhatConverts tracks the calls, forms and chats that come in and forwards its tracking numbers to the phones you already use; no plan describes a dialer, outbound calling or a softphone. smrtPhone handles inbound and outbound calls and texts in every seat, with smrtDialer running one to four lines as an add-on at $50 or $90.
How much does WhatConverts cost?
Call Tracking is $30 a month per account, Plus $60, Pro $100 and Elite $160, each including a $30 usage credit. Beyond that: 4.5 cents a local minute, 6.5 cents toll-free, 3 cents a text, 2 cents a transcribed minute, $2.50 a local number and $3.50 toll-free; form, chat and transaction tracking is 10 cents each beyond 300 on Plus and up, and white labelling is $50 a month. smrtPhone is $24 a seat a month billed yearly, or $29 month to month, with call tracking, 500 minutes and 1,000 text segments in every seat.
Does smrtPhone do call tracking like WhatConverts?
Yes, at the campaign level. Dynamic number insertion is in every smrtPhone seat: add your site in the dashboard, install one script, and create a campaign per tracking number, narrowed by page or UTM parameter, so each call is credited to the campaign that produced it. WhatConverts goes deeper on attribution itself - keyword reporting, forms, chats and transactions, and multi-click attribution on Elite.
Does WhatConverts track text messages?
It tracks texts sent to its tracking numbers, at 3 cents each, and connects to separate SMS tools such as Sakari, SimpleTexting and Textline. A smrtPhone seat includes 1,000 SMS and MMS segments for two-way texting with leads, then $0.02, with every message written to the CRM record.
Does WhatConverts integrate with my CRM?
Its directory lists about eighty integrations, including HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive, Insightly, OnePageCRM and JobNimbus. For investor teams the nuance is Salesforce: Left Main REI is built on it, so WhatConverts reaches Left Main that way. Podio, GoHighLevel, InvestorFuse, DataSift, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot and Tape are not covered. smrtPhone is native to all ten, in every seat.
